"If literature isn't everything, it's not worth a single hour of someone's trouble."

~Jean Paul Sartre.

Literature is not only about everything, but it is for everyone. It has the ability to change minds, the power to influence and shape lives and each and every one of us can attest to that. So if you love literature then this is the right place for you! The Prodigal is a peer-reviewed literary journal for all college and university students. Regardless of the discipline that you are studying, if you are enthusiastic about the literary art, then we want to hear from you.

The Prodigal focuses on bringing to light, various aspects of literature, seen from different perspectives – analysed in the context of other disciplines. Its objective is to create a space where students studying different disciplines may associate freely and discuss literature.Viewing literature in an all-encompassing manner enables us to free literary works and other subjects from the water-tight conception that people have of it.

We are dedicated to giving voice to your opinions and perspectives of all that you have read, discussed, recited and loved.
